Facilities
The department has regular and automatic green houses, experimental farms, pilot processing plants, refrigerated storage areas, landscape design rooms, and insect breeding rooms for student practice and research. Major research and teaching laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments to meet their specific needs.
Major instruments owned by the department include GC, HPLC, texture analyzer, photosynthesis system, tissue culture facilities, electrophoresis systems, growth chambers, freeze and high speed centrifuges, an infrared CO2 analyzer, freeze dryers, and color differential meters.
