Program

Program Description

Courses in the regular  program include a wide range of general subjects: production, management and utilization of horticultural plants and the post harvest handling of horticultural commodities. Elective courses include pomology, olericulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, post harvest handling of horticultural crops and processing of horticultural crops.  

Two programs leading to the BS and MS degree are offered for students with different backgrounds. In the master program, a total of 24 successfully completed credits including 8 core course and 16 approved electives are required for graduation (not including the Master’s thesis).  At least one research paper must be published by evaluated journal or conference.  In department that requires an oral defense of the Master's thesis. All requirements for the degree must be completed within 4 years. In the four-year program for bachelor degree, students complete a minimum of 128 credit hours of course work including 91 in general science, humanity, basic plants and horticultural sciences and 37 in electives.

2. Students form 5 academic system should take 12 credits from the optional courses in the environmental sustainability group of the general education core courses or the natural sciences courses of the general elective courses, and the graduation credits are 140 credits)

3.Graduation requirements: to publish one paper at least to a domestic and foreign academic seminar or academic journal with review mechanism

 

 

4.Graduate students enrolled in the 2020 academic year must take at least one elective course from the supervisor of  master program

 

 

5.The 6 credits of master thesis were not included in professional required subjects
